As an electrical engineering major in the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, you’ll gain a strong foundation in the field of electrical engineering. You’ll take courses in electronics, embedded systems, control systems, telecommunications, signal processing and electric power. If you’re passionate about a particular subject – like biomedical devices, image processing, renewable energy, or robotics – you can choose from a variety of upper-level elective courses in these areas.
Your electrical engineering education will blend foundational principles with hands-on, real-world learning experiences. We offer integrated lab and design experience in every course. You’ll apply the knowledge you learn in class, and have the opportunity to hone skills in leadership, teamwork, creativity and entrepreneurship.
