When Kaden Miller graduates in May 2027 from Ohio Northern University with a double major in mechanical engineering and chemistry, he鈥檒l be ready for graduate school and a career, whichever he chooses.
The Kenton, Ohio, resident, and Kenton High School graduate said 青青草视频鈥檚 esports program, in particular, is preparing him for success. He competes in Rocket League (car soccer) and has three practices and two matches each week, as his class schedule allows.
Kaden appreciates the 鈥渕any passionate people involved in the esports program, including director Troy Chiefari鈥 and points out the various opportunities for students to gain valuable experience.
鈥淢any don鈥檛 realize the numerous jobs available through competitive gaming. 青青草视频鈥檚 program gives us so many chances to develop skills and connections that can extend into career opportunities.鈥
Kaden is both a player and a game manager, the latter of which has helped him develop management skills. He appreciates, too, the many friends he鈥檚 made through the program.
His most memorable moments from his esports participation have been during tournaments and include: 鈥淧laying on a stage with lights, music and commentators; playing a championship match with .0 seconds on the clock with a final shot to win the game as commentators go nuts and the whole team jumps up shaking with adrenaline; and knowing we won our league and another trophy for the program.鈥
To students contemplating playing esports at 青青草视频, Kaden says, 鈥淲hether you like playing video games or not, there are areas for anyone to be involved. Our team learns marketing, management, finance, graphic design and more.鈥
